On the web
The University of Virginia serves over one million people every
year through more than 400 public service and outreach programs.
For more information about outreach at UVa, visit http://www.virginia.edu/outreachvirginia/,
an interactive web-based listing of public service programs searchable
by region, interest, audience, or type of program.
Some programs you can find in OutreachVirginia database include
the following:
Darden
Business Projects
Darden approaches its business projects as a cooperative venture between your
company and the school. We aim at the same standards of professionalism you would
expect from an internal team or from external business consultants.
HUES
Leadership Network for Women of Color
The HUES mentoring program offers mentoring opportunities to women from diverse
ethnic groups throughout central Virginia. Mentors can range from teachers and
business women to artists and social workers.
LEAD Summer Business Institute
UVa participates in the national LEAD Summer Business Institute
(SBI)--a rigorous three week program that introduces academically-gifted
minority high school juniors to the principles of business leadership.
Legal
Clinic
The Women's Center sponsors a clinic for legal advice given by local attorneys
on a one to one basis.
Online Business
Lectures: Leading in Turbulent Times
Leading in Turbulent Times lecture series by UVa Darden faculty
is available online.
