ADA Coordinator (Americans with Disabilities Act)

Since 2000, the Ombudsman has also served as the University's Section 504 and ADA Coordinator. In this role he can help resolve issues, or provide information regarding services or accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Individuals with disabilities are protected from discrimination and may be entitled to accommodations that will assist in their pursuits at the University. Employees should direct requests for accommodations to their supervisors and may seek assistance through Employee Relations. Students may seek assistance in obtaining accommodations by contacting the Learning Needs and Evaluation Center.

Formal complaints of discrimination and possible violations of the ADA can be filed with the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs.

DART (Demand & Response Transportation)- Provides an alternative transportation service for faculty, staff, and students with temporary or permanent disabilities.
